Company: Our client is a worldwide leader in developing software products and services. Their products and technology are used at over 50,000 organizations in 140 countries, turning over $500m annually employing over 900 employees worldwide. They are expanding their European sales and marketing team in Rotterdam and have new positions for German speaking Application Sales Representatives. They have a new OpenSource application that has been gaining momentum and the sales team is targeting these clients and offering them specific products and services.
Role: The role will cover the German speaking territory (Germany, Switzerland & Austria) and will involve existing client account management, new business sales and closing deals. Successful candidates will cover the complete sales cycle, combining inbound sales, outbound sales and business development managing their own sales pipeline and deals. You will sell their applications software to technical contacts within the IT DEPARTMENT (IT manager, software development etc) and will be required to have in-depth applications knowledge and be well versed in the IT industry. The application sales team sells the features, benefits and unique selling points of the software and potential candidates will need experience of selling software to IT contacts and explaining the technology.
Skills: The ideal candidate will speak native level German, with fluent English, written and spoken. In addition you will need 2-3 years experience in IT Application Sales or similar technical sales. You will need to demonstrate the ability to develop new business, manage a sales cycle, account manage and deliver targeted sales results. Candidates that have sold application servers -eg. websphere, BEA systems or similar- are at an advantage.
