German speaking Technical Support Representative in Cork, Ireland €30-35K DX2784

Company: Our client is a successful IT software applications company and with over 10 year’s experience, they have become one of the most recognised names within their industry. They attribute their immense success to maintaining customer satisfaction by always meeting or surpassing customer expectations. One of their offices is based in Cork from where they support their core markets. Their Cork operation manages technical customer service and finance administration. They are now looking for a German speaking technical support representative for their office in Cork, Ireland.

Role: In our client’s technical support team in Cork, there is a new position available for a German speaking technical support representative. Technical support representative is responsible for the following,
• Providing solutions to customers and keeping them informed during the life of the incident
• Supporting customers on difficult queries in the areas of system configuration and network engineering products
• Providing technical support on the phone to external customers who speak German. The questions vary considerably among end users, who use various lines of business, commercial and proprietary applications
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and correcting technical faults, using your technical and diplomatic skills, and guiding the caller through the necessary steps to restore functionality
• Working with your colleagues to share information and to collaborate on problem
• Having the ability to be confident, assertive and engaging when dealing with existing and potential customers.
• Answering queries in an appropriate amount of time without compromising quality.
• Administrative work such as execution of offers and orders
• Managing each problem that arises until it is resolved and improving work exercises to the best of your ability to achieve the best results


Skills: The candidate must speak fluent German and fluent English and have 4-9 year’s previous technical experience in network engineering. The candidate is required to have many technical skills which include; experience with TCP/IP based networks, SNMP, ICMP, routing protocols, IP inter-networking and all windows 2003 server applications and also they need knowledge of the following, Microsoft OS and MS SQL, network hardware configuration for routers, switches, firewalls, network topology and concentrators. The chosen candidate should be personable, have excellent communicational skills (verbally and written) face to face or via phone and have strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
